Exhibit Information

The Economic History Association will hold its 83rd annual meeting at the Hilton Doubletree Downtown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on September 8-10, 2023, with between 250-275 members in attendance. We invite you to participate in our tabletop book exhibit, advertise in our program, provide an insert for our registration packets, and/or sponsor the conference.

The book display is an important feature of our meeting. Scholars learn about new (and older!) titles. Particularly valuable are the exhibits from smaller presses who may have only a handful of titles in our field and whose regular advertising and marketing budget might miss economic historians. Economic history and other textbooks are also very popular items. It is free for publishers to exhibit books in the book display.

Economic History Association members are graduate students and faculty members from economics and history departments (as well as business schools), from the United States and abroad. Our interests include (among others): economic and business history, American, European and Latin history, social and cultural history, women’s history, demographic history, immigration history, applied economics and economic theory, and history of economic thought.

The rates for participation are:

— to exhibit titles:  free of charge

— to insert a flyer or brochure in each of the registration packets:  free with exhibiting books

— to place a one-page B/W advertisement in each of the program booklets: free with exhibiting books

— to place flyers, brochures, announcements of convention discounts, and the like on the tabletop: free of charge

— to sponsor the meeting: Price Variable – Contact Jeremy Land for more information.

If you have other display materials you would like to send, please email (jeremy.land@gu.se) or call Jeremy Land at 704-689-2055 (email is preferred) to discuss rates and arrangements. Please note that display books will not be returned. The Economic History Association is a non-profit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 corporation (TIN 13-6128711). The books you send to the exhibit are a tax-deductible contribution to our graduate student travel fund.

To reserve your participation, please complete the enclosed forms and return it to the Economic History Association no later than August 1, 2023. Payment may be made in advance. We accept checks via mail (if you need the address, let Jeremy Land know via email), but we prefer credit card payments. All payments will be processed by Taylor Land (taylorland@eh.net).

Books, journals, flyers, and other materials should be shipped to the address in Pittsburgh given on the enclosed form and should arrive no later than September 1, 2023. Books should be sent to:
