Graduate students who are planning to attend the EHA conference are eligible for travel subsidies funded by donations to the EHA Graduate Student Initiative. If you are a graduate student who is on the program, you are eligible for travel subsidies for airfare, mileage, train, taxi, and other transportation costs to and from the meeting. You can receive up to $500 for domestic travel and up to $800 for international travel. This does not include food or per diems. You will also receive three nights at the conference hotel in single-occupancy rooms. The hotel reservations will be made by the meetings coordinator, so it is important that you follow the instructions below to ensure that the meetings coordinator will contact you to get your arrival and departure dates.
If you are on the program whether as an author on a paper or presenting a poster or dissertation, please email the meetings coordinator, Jeremy Land (jeremy.land@gu.se) to make yourself known. There is no formal application, but you must email if you have not heard from the meetings coordinator already. You must be a student and an active EHA member at the time of the conference to receive the travel subsidies (this does not apply to dissertation finalists).
If you are a graduate student who is not presenting or on the program in anyway, you can email the meetings coordinator to put your name on a list for any available hotel rooms that are not used by the above graduate students. We normally have room for a handful of non-participating students to receive free hotel rooms, but we cannot provide travel subsidies to those not presenting.
