The Engerman-Goldin Prize is awarded for creating, compiling, and sharing data and information with scholars. It is awarded in even number years (beginning in 2018) for contributions made in the previous six years. Nominations should include a two-to-three page description of why the candidate is worthy of the award and should be e-mailed directly to the chair of the Committee on Research Archives and Databases. The Committee’s criteria for determining the recipient is as follows:
-The prize must be awarded to an individual recipient, not an organization or group. It, however, can be awarded to an individual outstanding contributor in a group effort, but the size of the group will be considered when comparing candidates.
-Candidates should be in their early or mid-career and thus should not be in consideration for or have previously won the Gallman-Parker Prize which celebrates lifetime data contributions.
-All else equal, the prize will be awarded for data contributions that have broader potential for researchers across locations, time periods, and fields.
-The recipient must still be living at the time of the vote.

The EHA Committee on Research Archives and Databases invites nominations for the Engerman-Goldin Prize for creating, compiling, and sharing data and information with scholars. The Prize will be awarded to individual recipients, not organizations or groups. A Prize can be awarded for a group effort if an individual outstanding contributor can be identified. The recipient must still be living at the time of the vote.
